For six days I worked with students from Shepherd Steiner’s graduate and honours seminars at the University of Manitoba on socially engaged art. The project was bookended by two potlucks where soup was provided and students brought food. I did a lecture, reading group, and individual critiques with students. We also made a dome over two days as a group inspired by Buckminster Fuller’s workshop with students at Black Mountain College . The workshop culminated in an event where the students presented their work and we ate out final potluck lunch. Some projects included offering to mend clothes, non-permanent tattoos, a series of dens, and strike marks through out the space for participants.
