The Apple is a Model is a project that I did during my residency at the Pistoletto Foundation. I researched fruit production in Italy. Through this research I decided to create a stall at the local fruit market and give away eight different types of apple unavailable commercially. These apples were purchased from a regional biodiversity centre. A booklet with the history of commercial apple production and tools to find more information on biodiversity was also given away at the stall. Included in the booklet was a recipe for apple cider also available at the stall.
